Setting the Standard with Mirabella

Pearl Homes completed and closed out the critically acclaimed Mirabella in West Bradenton, Florida, an active adult community of 160 eco-friendly attached villas in early 2020. The award-winning community has become the model of sustainable, energy-efficient living in the Sarasota/Bradenton community.

Pearl Homes broke ground on Mirabella in 2015. With a focus on implementing third-party verifications and utilizing the highest quality of materials and energy-efficient construction, Mirabella quickly became the benchmark for sustainable development.

Mirabella is one of the first residential developments to achieve LEED Platinum, the USGBC’s highest recognition, for all of its villas on a production scale. Mirabella has received more than 20 national and local awards for its sustainable design, including the USGBC’s Power Builder of the Year award for 2016, 2017 and 2018, 2018 LEED Outstanding Developer, and the prestigious Aurora awards for back to back years in 2016 and 2017. Known for its energy-efficient home designs and environmentally-friendly building practices, Mirabella was also recognized as one of the five most innovative active adult communities of 2018 by 55places.com. In 2016, the community received the LEED for Homes Platinum certification for its villas, making them the first LEED-certified villas in Florida. Mirabella also won the National Association of Home Builders Best of 55+ Housing Silver Award and Gold Award two years in a row.

Throughout the four-year development period, the community was recognized every year by the USGBC for Environmental Design and Construction. Mirabella’s homes, using LEED-design, incorporated solar power and innovative technology to reduce energy use and utility bills by more than 40 percent.
